Corrosion Inhibitor
Corrosion is a logan damage or erosion due to chemical or electrochemical reactions with the surrounding environment.
Problems caused due to corrosion is the reduction of heat transfer (heat transfer) by the buildup of corrosion results in heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger and a reduction in water flow rate caused by clogged pipes, valves, strainers, etc. Also the excessive wear of moving parts such as pumps, shaft, impeller and mechanical seal, etc. allow will restrain the movement of equipment. Therefore preformance of the cooling tower could fall.
A method of preventing corrosion in cooling tower systems, among others by:
a) selecting a suitable construction material to resist corrosion,
b) control the process of corrosion with corrosion inhibiting chemicals,
c) control the scaling,
d) to control microbiological growth.
